Campsite presentation: Zaton Holiday Resort.
Where holiday wishes are not only fulfilled, but exceeded
Club holidays were yesterday – if you are looking for a holiday in a well-kept resort with a huge range of sports and entertainment, spend your time on a luxury campsite. Here, not only is freedom, flexibility and maximum comfort guaranteed in an exclusive ambience, but also plenty of variety and stimulation for a sporty entertainment holiday. An outstanding example of such a top campsite:Â Zaton Holiday Resort in Croatia.
It is probably one of the best luxury campsites and is located on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia, not far from Zadar, in the middle of a 100-hectare pine forest. With a guest satisfaction rate of 95 percent, it is safe to assume that camping holidaymakers are happy here.
Why is that?
Certainly due to the first-class, well-maintained facilities with spacious 1,100 plots and the modern, clean sanitary facilities. But also because of the wide selection of new, air-conditioned mobile homes and comfortable three- and four-star flats.
Soap and water, fruit and biscuits: the supermarket provides everything for your daily needs. First thing in the morning, you can swim and play sports in the sea on your own 1.5-kilometre-long sand and pebble beach. Boats are waiting at the small “marina” for a mini-cruise through the offshore island world. In two large pools located directly on the beach, an animation team ensures the best holiday atmosphere and fun for adults and children.
Lazily dozing on the sun lounger can be quite nice, but a look at the huge range of sports on offer, which changes daily, will convince you to do something for your fitness and health.
The choice is huge: windsurfing, surf school, diving, water skiing, parasailing, tennis, table tennis, football, basketball, beach volleyball, sports and fitness centre, archery, horse riding, mini golf and cycling. If you’re bored, it’s your own fault.
In the evening we go to one of the many restaurants, then to the bar for a sundowner. There is a show at the theatre today. Maybe go there?
Or would you rather go to the disco and dance the hot summer night away?
Excursion tips:
Those who want to get even more exercise can go hiking in the Paklenica National Park, which is a good hour’s drive from the top campsite Zaton Holiday Resort. The park is certainly known to many – among other things, it served as a backdrop for the famous “Winnetou” films. Nature shows itself in all its diversity here: 400-metre-high rock faces, grottos and caves as well as imaginative rock formations. The 14-kilometre-long Velika Paklenica gorge, which is only 50 metres wide at its narrowest point, is definitely worth a visit.

Croatia | Dalmatian Coast
The Croatian Adriatic awaits holidaymakers on the Dalmatian coast with crystal-clear, turquoise waters and a Mediterranean climate, with rugged coasts and an archipelago-like world of islands. In the hinterland, large mountain ranges narrow towards the sea to form secluded bays, impressive waterfalls and beautiful lakes in a rugged landscape make the scenery unique: in addition to seemingly endless nature reserves and nature parks, charming harbour towns, ancient cultural sites, churches, cathedrals and monasteries or even historic town centres lie in a country that is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in many places.
